About Beach Lodge
Beach Lodge is a small, family-run bed and breakfast in Southbourne, a quieter stretch of Bournemouth's seafront a few miles east of the pier and town centre. Its position gives several rooms genuine sea views without the scale, or the price, of the larger clifftop hotels closer to the centre.
Rooms are simply but comfortably furnished, with an emphasis on a warm welcome and a proper cooked breakfast rather than extensive on-site facilities, in keeping with the property's small size. The Southbourne setting means a quieter night's sleep than the busier East Cliff hotels, while still putting the beach directly across the road.
Southbourne itself has developed a modest independent café and shop scene along its own stretch of seafront and Southbourne Grove, giving guests somewhere to eat without needing to travel into central Bournemouth every time.
It suits couples and solo travellers who want a small, personally run B&B with sea views on a quieter part of the coast, and who do not mind a short bus ride or drive into central Bournemouth for its wider choice of restaurants and attractions.

Beach Lodge is a gem. It way exceeded our expectations. The rooms, the food and the facilities are all fantastic. Clean, comfortable; this is 4 star hotel quality in a 'guest house'. It's beautifully furnished, lovely artwork dotted around. All the details have been thought through and some lovely touches (some sweet treats delivered in the afternoon (the brownies were delicious !). The host is charming and clearly they know exactly what they are doing. I cannot recommend this too highly.

Wonderful B&B in a quiet street very close to the sea and a five minute walk to Southbourne High Street for some excellent cafes and restaurants. Room was spotless and comfortable. Excellent shower, Coffee machine and home made cake. Breakfast was truly marvellous and hosts friendly and helpful. Have stayed in many places in Bournemouth and this is hands down the very best of the best.

Stellar hospitality! We enjoyed a wonderful weekend here- location is perfectly close to the beach and on the quieter side but still close to shops etc.We were in the Sequoia room which was beautifully set up,spotless clean and with great facilities. Great communication even prior to check in date. Casper our host was very welcoming & fully available in case of any issues.The little treats in the rooms, condiments at reception & tailor made breakfast orders all contribute to the homely ambience.Looking forward to our next stay!

Such a lovely bed and breakfast! The Accomodation was beautiful, rooms comfortable and clean. Ella’s attention to detail was amazing and made the stay even more special. The breakfast was delicious and location perfect for getting down to the beach first thing in the morning, and super close to Southbourne high street!
