About Capital One Hotel
Capital One Hotel works best for travellers who want a straightforward, affordable base near the Bournemouth coast rather than a polished, high-end stay. With 28 rooms and a mixed track record on comfort, it suits families on a budget, dog owners, or anyone passing through for a night or two of walking, cycling or watersports along the seafront.
Rooms are en-suite, with family options available and drinks provided in-room, while a 24 hour reception means arrivals and departures are flexible. A bar on site and breakfast service cover the basics, and free WiFi is included throughout. On-site parking is available, though it comes at an extra charge.
The surrounding area has plenty to fill a day, with a golf course, fishing spots, pubs, restaurants and entertainment all nearby. It is a practical choice for a simple, low-cost visit to Bournemouth rather than a destination in its own right.
What guests say
The hotel is in the perfect location because it's right next to the beach, rides and the wide range of restaurants too so the location is convenient when staying here and the price is reasonable I think. The rooms are also very clean and this is always maintained with fresh towels and new dustbins every day and the family room is spacious. However, the bathroom is narrow so just bare that in mind if you're someone who is overweight but for me, it was okay...the main issue with this hotel is that there is NO lift which means that if you do get put into one of the upper floors, you will have to walk up and down all the time which can be very exhausting... other than that, I'd still recommend it.

Small double but felt like a single room. No room to move around without tripping over each other. Bed was ok and linen was clean. Shower was clean but looked dirty as looked old. Shower tray was chipped and yellow. Shower door wouldn’t shut, so water over the floor. Shower pressure was terrible and you couldn’t move. It was so tiny, when you turn around you ended knocking the water handle which lead to being blasted with hot water. Dust around the ledges and stains on the carpet. Very disappointed as we stayed here last year and standards have gone down a lot.

Recently visited here for a stag do. Location is perfect, literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the bars and clubs. My room was fine but others had issues like weak showers. Breakfast was a fine, and suited our needs! You get what you pay for with this hotel.

Booked this hotel on hotels.com website at last minute for last weekend as a birthday stay for couple. Room was exactly the same as described. Hotel is in good location within walking distance from the city centre and the beach. Asked the owner if they could do a card and prosecco ready before we arrived, but they said it is extra £40 which I left it then as it was too expensive. Once walked inside the room we had two small bottles of wine and a printed happy birthday card, they went extra mile for that ! Thank you Capital one for this 😊 Great stay for one night. In addition we asked if we could park for the next whole day in their car park, we are glad we stayed there and paid £10 extra as all the nearby car parks were full to enjoy time on the beach.
