About Marsham Court Hotel

Marsham Court Hotel stands on Russell-Cotes Road on Bournemouth's East Cliff, overlooking the beach and pier and within a five-minute walk of the town centre and Pavilion Theatre. It has built a loyal following in part through being genuinely dog-friendly, a point of difference from several of its seafront neighbours, alongside a straightforwardly family-focused approach.

The hotel offers a range of room types including family rooms, sea-view rooms and accessible options, decorated in a comfortable, contemporary style rather than an overtly period one. An outdoor pool is available in season, along with meeting and conference rooms that see the hotel used for events outside the main holiday periods.

Its clifftop position gives many rooms clear views over Poole Bay towards the pier, and the short walk down into the Lower Gardens and onto the seafront makes it a practical base for families wanting easy beach access without a long walk back uphill in the evening.

It suits families, including those travelling with dogs, who want a straightforward seafront hotel close to the pier and town centre, with a pool and flexible room types rather than a strictly formal or boutique atmosphere.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and well-equipped, including a small fridge with complimentary water, a safe/locker, a kettle, and a thoughtfully provided iron with an ironing board. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and it was especially positive to see a team that included staff with disabilities, creating an inclusive and respectful environment. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach. The swimming pool area was also very nice and, importantly, accessible for guests with disabilities, which made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, a great experience with good facilities, a welcoming atmosphere, and strong accessibility features.

Location is spot on. Short walk to beach, town and restaurants. Reception / bar / family room were modern and clean. Corridors are very dated but who cares. Room is well equipped, but very hot during this heatwave with no aircon. Windows open only slightly so I’d recommend bringing your own fan. They did provide a desk fan but was still very hot. Pool is heated and lovely. Staff are attentive.

We’ve just come back from a weekend in their 6 person apartment and couldn’t recommend enough. Perfect blend of an air bnb feel but with the bonus of having the hotel for the heated pool, bar and great food! It was also dog friendly so we loved that we could take the dog too. It’s a great location with everything on your doorstep and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend enough and looking forward to visiting again.

Took my parents to stay there for mums birthday weekend. Great room overlooking the sea but a big step to go out onto the balcony which was too big for my mum and the room was very hot in March. My dad has dementia and the hotel caters for his condition as the staff are very friendly and the exits are monitored 24/7. The restaurant food was ok but not much my parents liked and the portions were too big. Very well maintained and decorated giving a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
