About The Chocolate Box Hotel

Breakfast is included at The Chocolate Box Hotel, a family-run Victorian bed and breakfast set close to Bournemouth's seafront, and it's a good start to the day before heading out to the attractions nearby. Drinks can also be brought to your room, and with 24 hour reception on hand, there's flexibility for guests coming and going at different times.

Rooms are relaxed and comfortable rather than showy, all with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Free WiFi runs throughout, and free on-site parking is a genuine bonus in a seaside town where spaces can be hard to come by.

The location puts pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries within easy reach, along with entertainment options for evenings out. Golf, fishing and watersports are all nearby for the more active, while cycling and walking routes make the most of the surrounding area, whether you're exploring the coast or the town itself.

Just returned from this hotel wish we had read through reviews before as they have now taken our money for breakfast which we paid extra for only to find they have staffing issues and no chef which has been ongoing for some considerable time but they still take peoples money which basically is stealing and after ringing the emergency number only to find whoever was on the end of the phone was very rude and blamed it on Booking.com and to make matters worse the bedding was not clean whatsoever because they are having issues with cleaners as well so happy to take your money but not provide the service Stay well clear this place is a hell hole. Read the reviews before booking please

This was our 3rd time visiting, so didnt even think to check if things had changed which unfortunately they have massively, there used to be someone welcoming guests on a little stand in the hall , chocolates on arrival , an AMAZING breakfast, friendly/ family run vibes , and a tiny car park you would be lucky to get into ! unfortunately this time we were given a code for arrival, not a member of staff in site on any day , we were the 1 and only car here and from what we can gather the only guests , an outdated tv....Remote with all but dead batteries , 2 little pots of uht milk for 2 guests for 2 days and none available to get anywhere in main hall so we had to go buy milk and ready made coffee sachets for the room, our bathroom was across the hall which tbh was so annoying when u just need a quick wee...or fill the kettle, wash hands etc . The whole place had a really eery feel to it unfortunately, shud have just gone to good old premierre inn

I didn’t not have a bathroom connected to the room. It was across the corridor and had to take a key to unlock it each time. Seen a lot of reviews about breakfast. They do not offer it here. I had the cleaner walk in to my room no knocking at 10am then a message saying check out is at 10:30. But the information in the room states check out is at 11. A lot better hotels to stay at in Bournemouth

The location is spectacular just at the top of the hill overseeing the beach at walking distance. The vibe was really good and the en-suite room was luxury and super clean, the double bed could easily fit 2 people and a child. There is a pantry in the restaurant with a microwave and a fridge. Parking is free but a bit tight, so i had to fit my car near the fence to not clog the entrance. The check in procedure could be made more seamless, as the form asked for card details which I was reluctant to share but had to do it as there was no other way.
