What guests say
Stayed at the Hop Inn Bournemouth and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were really clean and nicely done, and having a pub downstairs that serves food is a massive bonus. Location is spot‑on for the beach, pier and town — all an easy stroll.Only gripe: the bar staff could crack a smile now and then. But overall, solid value for money and a great base for a Bournemouth weekend.

Location is nice if you are in that area. On this evening it was loud due to karaoke going on. But that is just fun. Bit difficult to get a table. Again; I think.it was because if karaoke. I ha e been here at other times where I had no problems getting a table. They also do a very nice Sunday roast.

Very dusty, not clean, very small rooms for 3 individuas to move freely. On pictures you can see a sofa but that's only for marketing. The single bed doesn't even had a head. The pillows are very uncomfortable and hurt our neck. No AC, curtains are too thick and you either open them and let the whole street see you or lock yourself in this heat. Specially the lower floors are much warmer and you can't breath properly. At least they let us change the room for a higher one where you can actually breath. No proper cupboards. All 3 of us had to put our belongings in a one meter area. The drawers are very dusty so can't use them. The mirror itself looks dirty so can't understand how the housekeeper comes every day. The worst situation is that it said free parking before we booked. Afterwards it said there's limited parking space so we need to contact Hopp Inn. I called them to reserve a space but they didn't accept it. First they don't tell you that there's limited parking, only 2 for a hotel or hostel of 12-15 rooms. Secondly they said they can't arrange or reserve it for you event though it strongly advised you to contact the team to arrange it online before coming. This was very disappointing. Also, I'm pretty sure we booked it with breakfast included but that didn't come through as it is. The only thing I'm happy for the location, it's really great and only 7 mins walking from the beach. The gentlemen at the reception was also very kind and helpful. But the place definitely didn't meet my standards.

Called into the Hop Inn on a couple of occasions whilst staying at the Premier Inn. Drinks prices are at the top end especially for a sports bar. Regarding food, the prices appear pretty good but the quality wasn't there in the two meals we had. No taste in the burger and the chilli tasted and smelt ultra processed, like a cheap ready meal version. Some interesting characters go there from the people we met though.

Some reviews mention the drinks can be overpriced.
