About The Lodge At Meyrick Park Guest House

Meyrick Park's golf course is right on the doorstep of The Lodge At Meyrick Park Guest House, with the surrounding parkland open for walking and cycling and the wider area offering fishing, watersports and a choice of pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Bournemouth's own attractions and entertainment are a short drive away for anyone wanting a change of pace from the greenery.

Rooms here are straightforward and en-suite, with drinks available in-room, free WiFi throughout, and accessible rooms for those who need them. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without having to venture out, plus meeting rooms for anyone combining a stay with work.

All of the staff were warm and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, the clubhouse was cosy and comfortable, and the pool and spa area were fantastic. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and our room was spacious and well-equipped with thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, and biscuits. Despite being a light sleeper, we didn’t hear any noise from other guests, which was a huge bonus. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary drink each for our anniversary, which was a lovely gesture. The only downside was that the beds were quite firm and a little uncomfortable for our liking.

Staff Tracy was very friendly and informative. We went during weekdays. The spa, pool wasn't crowded at all. Everything looked clean in the pool, spa area. The rooms can be cleaned abit more thoroughly, the towel radiator was abit dusty, etc. I am sure the housekeeping are in a time crunch. The room looks neat can see certain area being refurbished but some features are still quite old and looks dirty like door handle of the bathroom and room etc - small details. The location is good walkable distance to town and beach. It helps as parking in town and beach area can get pricey. It's abit of a uphill and downhill walk but it's okay to burn off the food!

Great location for central Bournemouth. Staff were superb. Everyone was courteous, helpful and had a smile on their face. A real credit to the company. Facilities were great too. All helped with a weekend of glorious sunshine. Only issue was sharing the lodge with a load of lads on a golf/boozy weekend away who kept us awake.

This wasn't how I pictured it all! It's a little old lodge (which fair play you can clearly see in the pictures) with maybe 10 rooms, set away from the gym, pool, reception and cafe. We were dropped off in a cab and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, on a golf course. But as we got our bearings we realised how much it has going for it. Everyone on reception was super friendly and enthusiastic, the gym manager and staff member the same, the gym was state of the art, the pool one of the nicest I've been in. It was better the weather was warm as we wanted to shower in the room so had to walk back (3 mins max). Round the back of the lodge was a little pathway, a shortcut into central Bournemouth (max 10 mins) and going under the dual carriageway (which we had been trying to work out how we'd get across). It was pretty dark at night but again we benefitted from the long evenings and I'm also particularly freaked out by anything remotely un-urban (who or what is hiding in the bushes). The location did mean it was very quiet, no street noise, no loud music etc etc etc. The room was basic and too hot but it suited our needs overall and was a fair price.
