Peacock on the Pin is a single-storey lodge built with high vaulted ceilings, positioned beside the golf course at Braintree. Everything happens on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with a smart TV and soundbar flows into a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a bedroom with a zip-and-link bed, and a shower room with walk-in enclosure. Two guests get the run of the whole place, with their own enclosed garden, terrace, and hot tub.
The essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. A car space comes with the booking. The lodge sits just outside Stisted village; a pub specialising in Italian food lies just over a mile away. Braintree town centre, with its shops and restaurants, is about four miles off. Freeport at Braintree (roughly the same distance) has designer outlet stores, a cinema and bowling. For a day out, Colchester racecourse is seven and a half miles away, and a country estate with extensive grounds and specimen trees is ten minutes' drive. Please note: no smoking, and no children.

Have stayed at Peacock On The Pin twice now. Once in June 2023, and the other over the weekend just gone. Both visits were excellent and relaxing. Located in a lovely area next to a golf course. Traffic is minimal as it's a mile off of a main road into Stisted so it's incredibly quiet. A hot tub in a private area is great, paired with how quiet it is around there makes for maximum relaxation. The hosts make sure the holiday home is very clean on arrival, with a bottle of bubbly waiting in the fridge and a choice of coffee's and tea's. Very close to Braintree centre, and other surrounding cities like Colchester down the road so lots to do and to be explored. Plenty of restaurants very close which you can have delivered here also. We will be staying again I'm sure, and I can't recommend here enough. Thanks for another great stay.

I booked peacock on the pin for a birthday surprise for my boyfriend and it was the most relaxing and romantic weekend we’ve ever had. The hosts were super helpful and reliable whenever we had any questions and very welcoming. The hosts were also amazing at keeping us up to date with any important details we needed to know. We went to the nearby recommended pub for our breakfast and it was very cozy and friendly in there. They also had nearby restaurants in which we went for a birthday dinner. We then finished our night in the hot tub which was a perfect way to end a good day. The room was very tidy and warm when we got there and the hot tub was already heated ready for us. A golf course was also behind the lodge which was lovely for a little walk around. We left the lodge very impressed with how good our stay was and agreed that we would definitely come back here again. We didn’t want to leave!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peacock On The Pin 🦚 a beautifully renovated Annexe tucked away in peaceful countryside.......a perfect getaway. The decor is modern, the furnishings are really comfortable and the little touches were so so lovely and unexpected! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful. We look forward to coming back soon.
