About Gosfield Lake Resort
Laze by the lake at this luscious leisure park, a private and family-run site in rural Essex. Gosfield Lake Resort, five minutes from Halstead, is surrounded by fields and woods and set up for families to have fine outdoor times. As the sun sets over the 68-acre lake, a fabulous array of birdlife can be seen feeding and settling down for the night – who needs a TV when there's this amount of natural entertainment?
You're welcome to barbecue your bangers (off the ground, mind the grass) at the many lakeside picnic spots, or grab something from the onsite café overlooking the water. Simple but well-kept amenities include a launderette, washing-up area, toilets and hot showers. Kids will enjoy the playground and sandpit, while parents appreciate the family washrooms. It's a peaceful spot, though facilities can feel fairly basic if you're after more polish.

What visitors say
We stayed over the night of 4th May 2025 and can’t wait to come back. The service was lovely, from changing our pitch (originally 7) to one with a better view, to the lovely bloke in the snack hut. The view (plot 9) of the river was gorgeous and because of the time we went, there was barely anyone else there. Lovely place to stay.

Have you ever seen carpark? Feel free to come and enjoy. It's £10 and you can't walk walk around the lake. If you ask for the receipt unfortunately you won't get one No restaurant to have some food this is definitely not a place to go to

Nice location, very long walk to toilet blocks with kiddies if they get caught short in the night. A cost for family to visit you for a few hours in the day is a bit cheeky when you've already paid for the pitch. Overall, it was a nice place for a couple of days visit.

Popped here last weekend for a 'flyng visit' with my running club (Dagenham 88 runners) following a recommendation from one of our members I have not been before and was really impressed with the site, facilities and breath taking views. We were on site T04. Will be sure to be back in the future.
