About Headswood On The Wall
A little bit of luxury and a lot of peaceful space in a quiet corner of rural Cumbria? If that sounds enticing, head to Headswood On The Wall, a glamping site five minutes from the market town of Brampton and 20 minutes from Carlisle. The wall in question is Hadrian's Wall – there's direct access from here to the mighty Hadrian's Wall Path, which follows the World Heritage Site for 84 miles coast to coast. Plenty of other paths can be accessed directly from the site too, making it rather heavenly for travelling dogs (and their owners) who need fresh air and leg stretching.
After a day exploring Roman forts at Housesteads, Birdoswald or Vindolanda – all within half an hour's drive – return to your smart wooden pod, kitted out with a comfy double bed, ensuite bathroom, TV, wifi and well-equipped kitchen. Luxury bed linen and towels are provided, and there's space to eat inside or out on your deck.
The crowning glory? Each pod has its own private hot tub to soak away any aches. Bliss after a day of hiking Hadrian's Wall.

Fantastic location , pod had everything we needed , great welcome from simon and his information about the area was very helpful. Beautiful quiet surroundings, will definitely come back this year. We brought our dog who was made very welcome with her own blanket and towel . Hot tub was perfect.

This was so “last minute” and booked only a few days previous. We arrived with our Spaniel Dog on Friday for a two night stay. Communication with Simon was so easy and found him very helpful and pleasant. The lodge is well appointed and totally spotless. The bathroom is modern with an excellent hot shower. The hot tub well maintained and equally clean. Sadly excellent breaks seem to end too soon ! We could happily have stayed for much longer.

Just back from the most amazing weekend. The pods were spotless and well equipped. Location was fantastic, very tranquil, amazing views and direct access to Hadrien's Wall. The jacuzzi hot tub had beautiful countryside views and was a much needed treat after a day spent walking. A gem of a glamping retreat and will definitely be back. Dog friendly site, with a cosy blanket and towel provided. Thanks for being such a fab host Simon.

Myself and my husband had a great time at the lovely location. The pod was to a high standard and facilities had everything we needed. Simon, the owner was very welcoming and settled us in. We brought our dog and tied him up on a long lead at the side of the pod which he loved too. The hot tub was perfect and we enjoyed chilling for 2 nights. We would highly recommend this venue.
