What visitors say

Amy Smith

This campsite is the cleanest campsite we've been to. The owners were very attentive and ensured that everything runs smoothly. They have signs all around just reminding people of etiquette when sharing a space with other people and these definitely work as the place was spotless. There is no phone signal or WiFi and we loved that we could shut off from the world. They have games such as cricket that families can use to encourage that screen free family time. You do have to walk your things from the carpark to the pitch in a wheelbarrow (provided by the site) so be mindful if you have lots of stuff. This is to protect the grass. It was dry for this stay but it may be more difficult in the rain. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much x

The most gorgeous campsite tucked away in the welsh countryside. The owners were so welcoming and so lovely. We had the best time in this campsite, the location was beautiful and a lovely flat pitch for the tent. Toilets and showers were spotless, and the kitchen was also great, with a large fridge freezer! We will definitely be returning !

The best campsite I’ve stayed at and will definitely return :) - the grounds are stunning and the pitches (choose your own) were very spacious - the facilities were spotless - super dog friendly - access to the river (especially good in the heat when camping with dogs) - fire pits & bbqs available - games/book swap/local information/toiletries all available We didn’t mean the owners but Mandy and her husband, who were looking after the campsite, were brilliant. From checking in with everyone to providing bug spray, they made us feel at home.

I had a wonderful stay at Ynysfaen, the campsite has everything (and much more) that you could need with very clean, well thought out facilities. Elaine and Duncan made me feel so welcome, even offering me aloe for my sunburn and later on bringing me some citronella in case there was bugs! I will definitely be back, can’t recommend this campsite enough. Thank you for your kind hospitality ☺️
