It was the first time that we tried glamping, we were very excited to find a treehouse, but had no idea how it would be. And we were absolutely amazed by everything we saw and experienced! Many thanks to Steve and Dawn who built and run such a paradise to escape to! It's magic that if you go from the entrance to the town centre, it's only a few hundreds meters; and walking the same distance into the little path, you will see a totally different world - surrounded by trees, birdsongs, all kinds of wood sculptures along the path, and then the luxury treehouses with everything you need. We enjoyed everything we experienced there, peaceful night, comfortable rooms and beds, clean and full functional toilet and kitch, and an afternoon nap under the trees. Would love to come again and definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a very special experience!

What a fantastic stay! The treehouse was absolutely perfect—beautifully presented, comfortable, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning countryside. Being off-grid made it feel like a real escape from everyday life. The location was ideal, with Hay-on-Wye within walking distance. We enjoyed wandering into town, exploring the bookshops, and stopping for lunch along the way. Everything had clearly been thoughtfully put together, and the attention to detail made our stay feel really special. If you're looking for somewhere unique to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back!

What a magical, whimsy place! It was the perfect way to start our vacation after a long flight. The cabins were lovely, so many great details, they did a really amazing job. It was 50ish degrees in May when we stayed, the woodburning stove was enough to keep us warm at night. By the Wye has so many cute, delightful details spread out amongst the property. We stayed for 2 nights, and each walk I found another little detail hidden amongst the trees. Take time to explore, it's worth it! It was Mother's Day the weekend we stayed, Dawn was kind enough to put a basket together for me to give to my mom. It was full of yummy goodies, and much appreciated. The biggest delight is the onsite coffee shop had vegan bakery items!

As I unpack from our trip to Wales, my clothes still smell like the comfort and tranquility that only a night spent dutifully tending a wood-burning fire can bring. By the Wye makes a vacation feel like a true escape, and one can’t help but unplug from the rigors of their routine and get wrapped up in falling asleep to the melody of the river or waking up to a cacophony of bird calls. Whether you are in Hay-on-Wye for the outdoors, the books, a pint at the Three Tuns, or a bombastic blend of all three, be sure to book this high-up hideaway.
