About Seven Stars B&B
Seven Stars B&B occupies a characterful 16th-century building in the centre of Hay-on-Wye, offering ensuite bedrooms decorated in a traditional style and supplied with tea and coffee making facilities. Its long history as a coaching inn shows through in the building's structure, while the rooms themselves have been updated for modern comfort.
What sets Seven Stars apart from most guest houses in the town is a heated indoor swimming pool, kept at a comfortable temperature year-round, along with a sauna, making it an unusual find for a property of this size in a small market town. An on-site restaurant serves a varied breakfast menu using locally sourced ingredients, and a private car park is a further practical advantage in a town where parking can be tight.
Its Broad Street location keeps the bookshops and restaurants of central Hay within easy walking distance, while the pool and sauna give guests a reason to spend an evening on site rather than out at the pubs. It suits visitors who want central convenience along with a bit more in the way of leisure facilities than a typical Hay B&B offers.
What guests say
We stayed one night after our self catering accommodation ended. We got a lovely welcome from Diane and beautiful Captain. Our room was lovely, warm, spotlessly clean as was the bed linen and we wanted for nothing. Lovely comfy bed. Diane was kind enough to let us leave the car on the car park while we had a last walk round town. This is our 2nd visit and we wouldn't hesitate to return, a perfect stay and everything excellent, we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so perfect, we couldn't fault a thing, unlike our appalling self catering accommodation.

Rooms are great, but you have to realise the age of the building. Breakfast was awesome. Close enough to all the bookshops to park here and walk.

Absolutely loved my stay here. It's perfectly located, right by the clock tower. Room was very spacious, clean and superbly comfortable. It's got a lovely old fashioned feel that makes it seem very homey and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice too. There's a car park at the back as well. The owner Di was so friendly and welcoming, and the lady who served breakfast was really polite and couldn't do enough to look after you. It's dog friendly and the resident dog, The Colonel, is so sweet. You can't use the swimming pool on your own which is a shame, otherwise it was perfect. Fantastic place, and I loved my stay. I hope to visit again.

Very warm welcome from the extremely helpful Fred. Free parking. Very clean room and en-suite. Excellent location. Very close to interesting shops and places to eat. Dog friendly. Excellent breakfast with very efficient, friendly and professional service by Livvy. Di was an excellent hostess and we enjoyed meeting her lovely dog, Captain. We highly recommend the Seven Stars.
