What visitors say

A pleasant place to while away a couple of hours if you get a drink and something to eat. Very sheltered and warm on a sunny day and plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the peace and quiet. Cafe is good value, with lovely service and has outdoor seating to make the most of the gardens. Worth a visit and Cannington itself is a pretty little village with a good bakery and pub nearby.

Beautiful gardens on the site of an ancient medieval Benedictine Priory dating from 1138. The gardens feature classic and contemporary elements, including the Hot Border, the Blue Garden, the Sub-tropical Walk, the Winter Garden, the Potager, the Rose Walk, the Mediterranean Garden and a Victorian-style fernery. There's a great little café, a shop and various plants for sale.
