A 7-room guest house on Bristol's edge, on Downside Road, with garden views and an EV charge point for country-and-city stopovers.

About Acorns Guest House

Bristol's countryside fringes are within easy reach of Acorns Guest House, a small guest house on Downside Road that gives visitors a quieter base than the city centre while keeping local attractions and the Somerset countryside close at hand. The property has just seven rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, so it suits those who prefer a personal feel over a large hotel.

Outside, there's a garden with seating and a picnic area, making the most of the garden views on a fine day, and an electric vehicle charge point for those arriving by car. Practical extras include free WiFi, luggage storage, and airport parking or transfer arrangements for guests travelling further afield.

A pub or bar, restaurant and eatery are all nearby, and golf and fishing are within reach for those wanting to fill a day outdoors. It's a straightforward, well-equipped spot for exploring both Bristol and the surrounding countryside.

Stayed here before a family holiday, flying from Bristol. Room was tidy and clean, comfortable for a night stay. Self check in was very easy and the walk to the airport very simple, we did this with young kids as was fine. Car collection on our return also simple.

This place is incredible value as the rooms are spacious and and are of a high standard. In addition you can walk to the airport within no more than 10 minutes. I stay here if I have an early flight and always feel it's a start of my holiday, with no stress next day of getting to the airport. I would 100% recommend this accommodation.

So I had booked this place as my other one had to cancel due to renovations. The drive up was spectacular, long drive with fields full of rabbits and beautiful buildings in front. Key collection was straight forward and that's where the good ends unfortunately. Our front door wouldn't close, the apartment was full of webs and unclean, there was a dead bug in the bed, they had a leak and didn't bother repainting, the bathroom wasn't clean, the shower was so small I really struggled and I'm a size 12, and the neighbour above us kept us awake all night as he sounded like an elephant back and forth. The bed was comfy though. For £75 a night I will definitely not be recommending this to anyone.

I had a beautiful stay before my flight the next morning. The only thing I will ask is what washing powder do you use because your duvet and blankets smelt absolutely amazing
