About Ibis Bristol Temple Meads Quay

Temple Meads station is within easy walking distance of Ibis Bristol Temple Meads Quay, making this a practical base for arriving by train, while the River Avon runs close by for a stroll after checking in. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries sit nearby too, along with a golf course and entertainment options for those wanting to fill an evening or a spare afternoon.

Rooms are modern and en-suite, with family and accessible options available, plus drinks available in room and free WiFi throughout. Breakfast is served with a good range of choices, and the on-site restaurant and bar cover meals and drinks without needing to head out. A snack bar, lift access, laundry service and luggage storage add practical convenience, and meeting rooms are available for those travelling on business. Pets are welcome, though there is no parking at the property, so those driving should plan accordingly.

Staff are consistently helpful, and rooms are kept clean and comfortable, though sound insulation between rooms has been flagged as a weak point by some visitors. For a well-located stay near the station and the river, with breakfast and an on-site bar sorted, it does the job well.

Pleasant stay. Rooms are minimalistic, and had everything we needed. The shower and toilet were unusual: enclosed in a sort of prefabricated pod, integrated inside the room. We found the shower noisy in the room and could hear gurgling noises from the drain at night. Our biggest issue was the lack of control over the room temperature, which is centrally controlled by the hotel. There is no air-con or heating in the traditional sense. We visited during peak summer and the room was far too warm to sleep comfortably. There was a single window which opened a small amount but this was insufficient. The location is quiet and great for trains and busses. Friendly and helpful staff.

I saw mixed reviews for this hotel. But as its within 5 minutes walk of the airport flyer and only £53 for bed plus full breakfast i took a chance. What a surprise. I have stayed at the Hampton which is right next to the airport and honestly at £100 cheaper the Ibis smashes it. Its very eco and minimalist but checkin was easy, free WiFi. The room was modern but basic, clean and lots of room .The shower spacious and temperature perfect. The bed was on the firm side but very comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and nicely cooked. I tend to wake early and met Mapello on reception. A great guy very friendly. Value for money the Ibis ticks the boxes. I will definitely stay here again

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. I chose this hotel because my friends had picked it, but for the price, I don’t think the service and quality were justified. On the first night, when we returned to our room around midnight, we discovered cockroaches in the room. This was unacceptable. We went to the front desk, and the staff were helpful and moved us to another room. However, the second room was smaller and still had several issues. The bathroom had a gap between the door and the floor, and the ventilation was not working, which made it uncomfortable to use. There were also not enough power outlets near the beds. The only plugs were by the desk or next to the TV, which was inconvenient for charging phones or using a laptop. The breakfast was also disappointing — several of my friends chose to go elsewhere the following morning instead. On a positive note, the location was good, about a 5-minute walk from the train station. That said, the reception staff were very friendly and did their best to help. I would likely consider other options in the future

Disgusting, the room had a horrible super strong smell of cigarette, I do not advise anyone to go to a hotel like that. I left smelling like cigarette, and I never smoke. It was even hard to sleep like that. Staff is nice but the room had a disgusting cigarette odour, and the bathroom is very old. The smell impregnated in my clothes and stuff, it was extremely disgusting and made my stay in Bristol completely unrewarding. I feel scammed, I payed almost 140 pounds to leave the place smelling like cigarette when I do not even smoke. The worst hotel I have ever been in my life, I took it as it was a last minute trip and all hotels were booked. I never imagined it could be such a bad and unpleasant experience. It is completely disrespectful for clients to be received in such unprofessional way. In addition, it shows this hotel is in real breach of regulations as they clearly allow their guests to smoke in the rooms representing a real fire hazard for the other guests. I absolutely don’t recommend anyone, I’ll certainly will never ever go back to any Ibis hotel in the world after this. I get a vey bad impression of Ibis hotel chain now.
