Reedcutters began life as a pub and retains the character of a converted building within the Cantley Sugar Factory complex near Norwich. The property is one of three adjoining cottages, set among quiet country lanes yet close enough to local amenities that everything from fish and chips to delis sits within walking distance. Two pubs serving food are within 150 yards.
Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with a 40-inch Freeview television and Blu-ray player, plus a kitchen-diner equipped for cooking and washing up. A bathroom with bath and shower completes this level. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize, a double, and a twin, served by a separate shower room. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with wi-fi and electricity throughout. The property has a south-facing terraced garden with sitting-out furniture and parking for two cars on site. No smoking inside.
The location works for families wanting access to attractions across a wider area: Horsey for seal watching, Winterton's coastal walks, BeWILDerwood adventure park, and the market towns of Acle and Cromer are all reachable. Train services from nearby connect to Norwich's medieval centre and the seaside towns of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft in either direction.

Quite a retro pub which I love, had that 80's feel to it, free mooring great beer and lovely views on every angle but the bs factory. Highly recommend a stop off for a refreshing bevy

Dogs certainly allowed and smelt like it. Only a couple of tables in window otherwise gloomy. Food awful, truly awful. Unable to give a zero score for food. Whoever is chef cannot cook. The food prices not cheap, yet the produce is. We had the roast duck, plum sauce, sauté potatoes and peas. The massacred duck was tough, a waste of an animal. The saute potatoes were oven diced potatoes (Asda or Iceland), tinned peas and the sauce was a cold jelly in a ramekin. The staff obviously knew not to ask about the food, either when collecting plate or when we paid. The portion of potatoes, peas and 'sauce' were generous but you couldn't eat it, it was so awful. There is a nice patio area out the back but no shade. Tables and shade out the front. Off putting fag station by the entrance, come on, surely you can smoke further away. Some fairly ropey boats permanently moored outside, presumably for extra income. If you have a choice, hold your nose get a drink and go outside.

Really lovely pub. Not a posh pub but it had everything we needed and wanted. Called in for a pint each on the afternoon and we decided to go back for an evening meal having seen the delicious menu specials board. Friendly, welcoming staff. Great portions of food, good value for money. We can recommend the Chinese style belly pork, chips and beans. Absolutely yummy. Proper pub food, not fancy rubbish. Our dogs were welcome too. Oh and there was a beautiful real fire on, lovely and warm. We will definitely be returning.
