Swallowtail Lodge is a ground-floor detached property on a 4-acre estate in Broadland, with direct access to shared grounds that include a lake, reedbeds and open country. The single bedroom has a super king bed; the bathroom is an ensuite wet room. The open-plan living space combines a sitting area with smart TV, a dining area opening onto a patio, and a kitchen equipped with microwave and air fryer. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating is electric. Pets are welcome and stay free, and there is parking for two cars on site.
The 4 acres are genuinely wild. Reedbeds, wetland and a lake attract visiting otters, bitterns, water voles, swans and ducks, plus year-round birdwatching and butterflies. A veranda and summer house are positioned for viewing. Fishing is available in season with a licence. The grounds are shared with the owners, who maintain them, and their two rescue dogs; guests staying here should be aware the lake is unfenced. The location is within the Norfolk Broads National Park near Strumpshaw, about 6 miles from Norwich. Brundall, close by, has boat hire and train access; several riverside pubs with food are nearby. The property does not permit smoking.
