Rainbow's End sits on the edge of Brundall, where the Norfolk Broads open up into miles of navigable waterway. The cottage has its own stretch of riverbank and a back garden that slopes down to the water's edge; four steps lead from the garden to the river itself. This is prime territory for anyone drawn to water—herons and kingfishers work the shallows, and if you have a fishing licence you can cast from the quay. Two kayaks are available for guests to use, along with life jackets.
The whole property is yours: a single detached unit arranged entirely on the ground floor, with an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting room. Large windows face the river. The bedroom holds a double bed, the bathroom has a shower cubicle, and essentials like electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on site. A pub stands within a mile's walk. The property suits couples only; children are not accommodated, and one small dog is welcome at no extra cost. No smoking indoors.
Brundall itself is a riverside village on the southern fringes of the Norfolk Broads National Park. Day boat hire is available locally if you want to venture further into the waterways. Great Yarmouth and its seafront are within 30 minutes by car.
