Wherryman's Cottage has direct access to the river from its garden and comes with a mooring, which sets it apart for anyone planning to explore the Norfolk Broads by boat. The detached cottage dates to the early 1800s and retains period features including exposed beams and an Aga in the farmhouse kitchen. It sits in Coltishall, a village with riverside pubs and local shops, roughly three miles from Wroxham.
The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs are two bedrooms—one double, one with twin singles—plus a living room with woodburner, a kitchen/dining area with French doors onto the garden, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, a further double and twin bedroom sit alongside a bathroom with both bath and shower. The study provides flexible space, and the property sleeps eight. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and the large lawned garden has a patio, barbecue and furniture. A day boat can be arranged through the owner at additional cost.
The Broads themselves offer fishing, birdwatching and cycling along routes like the Weaver's Way. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Wow Wow, this Cottage is a beautiful little gem.We as a family had a lovely time staying here, stunning through out. A wonderful garden leading down to the river with it’s own private mooring. Each evening we sat there taking in the peacefulness with the beautiful surroundings. Some lovely local pubs the kings head being one that we had a beautiful meal in. Close to Wroxham and a short drive to Norwich.

Idyllic. The river and patio at the end of the comfortable garden, bird life a plenty. The AGA,,wow, what a beast to cook on,instant fierce heat and constant warmth in this big kitchen diner. Good WiFi connectivity for those interested in that sort of thing. The living room has a good size TV,wrap around sofa and a gas fired stove, that is hot, hot, hot ! I have to be honest,I thought the front room was sparse, but we have spent only a couple of hours a day in there, preferring the big kitchen with its river view, but there again, I am a fisherman ! Good powerful showers to chase away the winter chill from your bones. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic surprise Xmas break, very warm homely cottage with everything you need. Fishing was good as the boyfriend caught loads of pike. First time here and will be back.

We stayed here (7 of us) for a short break in October and I have to say the cottage is absolutely wonderful. It was in very good condition and very clean and we all had plenty of space. The garden is lovely and the little jetty at the bottom offers wonderful views and great for photos. The parking (on the road outside the cottage) was fine for us, we had 2 cars, but I would imagine it may be difficult at peak times of the year. Brilliant location and just a short walk to the nearest pub
