The Barn

Couples and small families will find The Barn suits a weekend away or longer break. It's a converted property in Coltishall, a village within the Broadland area, and comes with its own hot tub in the back garden, which has seating and is fully enclosed. You get two bedrooms—one double on the ground floor and another on a galleried level upstairs—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor also has a combined living and dining room with exposed beams, plus a kitchen equipped to cook from scratch. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.

Everything needed for a self-catering stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi. There is parking for two cars on site. The garden has three steps, and the stairs to the upper bedroom are steep. Within walking distance are four pubs serving food, plus Chinese and Indian restaurants, a fish and chip shop, tearoom and a Michelin-recommended restaurant. The river Bure runs through the village; walks along it are a few minutes on foot, as is the village green where you can watch boats on the water. Wroxham, where day boats can be hired for exploring the Norfolk Broads, is about three miles away. No smoking inside the property.
