River Lodge

River Lodge is a single-storey detached house built to contemporary standards on a working farm near Hundred House, in the Powys countryside. The whole property is yours alone, with three bedrooms arranged across open-plan living spaces—a sitting room with a 50-inch smart TV, separate dining area, and a kitchen fitted for cooking proper meals. Two bathrooms serve the bedrooms; one has an ensuite with a walk-in shower. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are all included in the rent.

Each of the three bedrooms contains a zip-and-link kingsize bed that splits into singles on request, with a TV in each room. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and wine cooler. There's a utility room with a washer-dryer, and a cot and highchair are available if needed. Outside, an enclosed lawned garden with patio and barbecue faces out towards the farm; beyond that, 102 acres of fields and woodland are shared with the owner and other guests—good for walking or cycling. Your private hot tub seats six. Parking for three cars is provided, and there's a bike store if you're bringing wheels.

Builth Wells is five miles away; Llandrindod Wells, the Victorian spa town, seven miles. The Elan Valley and its dams are 16 miles to the northwest. A pub lies 300 yards down the lane, and the Royal Welsh Show ground is five miles south. No smoking inside the property.
