What guests say
The ONLY negative was the public use of the pool and tables and chairs. Only available to residents after 5pm and weekends unless you want to join the noisy crowds. Apart from that, which we had seen as a deal-maker in the hotspell, it is a lovely place. They chilled our own champagne and the chef made a marvellous Caesar Salad despite not on the menu. Emily is an upcoming star in hospitality in the eyes of a pair of well-travelled clients. We shall return!

I visit fairly frequently since the new owners have taken over, the decor is really aesthetically pleasing. The staff are so attentive and polite, nothing is too much trouble. I have not stayed here overnight but I'm sure it would be perfect. It's a real escape to a beautiful Old rural hotel with great surroundings. But! the thing I really want to comment on is the food! I had homemade ale battered haddock ( huge) and chips with a fresh side salad. It was the best I've ever had....even beating aldeburgh ! I am a fussy foodie, so hopefully this tells you ,that the food here is amazing .....and well priced.

We went for a Sunday roast for my mums birthday and it was great value, a fantastic service as always and lovely setting. We have been many times over the last 15 years and never had a bad experience. The Turkish waiter who has had long service there goes above and beyond and is a real asset to the company.

We got married at Ravenwood in October last year. We stayed for 3 nights. It was amazing from start to finish. On the day Emily and the team could not have been more accommodating. The day flowed perfectly and the service was brilliant. We then enjoyed a couple of nights to celebrate and unwind. Again service and food was excellent. Beautiful setting, beautiful place. Loved it. And special mention to Cheddar the Cockerel.
