What visitors say
Nice small caravan site near to the Tissington Trail. Good facilities and clean and tidy. It's a shame that the pub has closed. Great location for exploring the Peak District. Would stay again

stayed in the campsite! for three nights this was very good, and we did have a wonderful time. just a few little things that made it not so good (although for a cheap few nights in a great setting we were overall happy!): no ice block freezer, very very low water pressure at washing up sinks, the pitches were quite small (struggled to fit our car on the pitch when we had neighbours either side), temperature was tempremental in the showers. however, considering the pub is closed and the site itself seems pretty self-operating (we did not see a single staff member our entire stay, but toilets were cleaned daily...), it was perfectly adequate, though could have been better :) pulling out onto a busy 50mph whenever we wanted to go somewehre was certainly an experience :D

Recently booked the function room for my wedding. Communication in the run up to the event was fantastic and very accommodating of me being rather disorganised with everything frankly. Once the day came around the staff were all fantastic, they were warm, friendly and polite and did everything to help out where needed on the day helping things run smoothly. Food was fantastic. Often buffets can be lackluster compared to what is served normally, however this was NOT the case. It was excellent, warm, refreshed often and some of the best pizzas I’ve had in years frankly. Overall it was an excellent day and the venue was fantastic.

We had a lovely meal here with some good beers. We were camping behind the pub which was great too. The service was attentive and friendly and everyone there was having a relaxed time. Dogs are welcome and it's good and warm in the pub. Camping was clean and easy pitching ground. We will 100% be going back for camping and food
