Lovely stay! Me and my partner stayed for a couple of nights in a "small double room", with an ensuite bathroom. The lady running the guest house was absolutely lovely and very helpful to get us settled. I will definitely consider it again for my next stay. Location is great as well, quieter than the very centre, but close enough that it is easily reachable.

What a lucky find! We stayed there for two nights and everything was just great. All you could ask for - really. The room was tidy, bathroom directly in the room with a great shower (for my fellow long haired friends: great water pressure and you can take down the shower head if it’s not hair wash day). The host made sure we felt super duper welcome, even brought us some milk for our coffee/tea in the morning. There is a bus stop just a couple of minutes away that takes you up to the city centre + there is an absolutely great Italian restaurant (Napoleat) VERY close by. Win win! A true gem 💎

Moved to Cambridge in a hurry, I stayed at Alington House while I was looking for a flat to live in. The host was very kind as to let me extend my stay for a few more days while I looked for a flat. The room was clean and smelled good and it has a mini fridge, coffee & tea, a TV, a hair dryer - everything you need. There is a Co-op near by, some good restaurants and a pub too. Close to a bus stop to go to the station and the city centre. I definitely recommend staying at the Alington House.

I got really lucky finding this place! The family which run it are super-friendly and kind. They keep everything very tidy and are always quick to respond. The bathrooms are new and have everything you need. The rooms are cosy and there's even a microwave downstairs if you need to warm up a meal. There are many supermarkets nearby including a big Sainsbury's. The city centre is within walking distance, but you can also take a bus (there's a stop 2 min away from the house). I booked a one-person bedroom when I moved to Cambridge so I can look for rent and they were kind enough to keep extending my stay for as long as I needed to.
