About ibis Cambridge Central Station

For anyone arriving by train, catching an early departure, or juggling meetings around Cambridge, ibis Cambridge Central Station is built for convenience rather than charm. Positioned at Station Square, it puts guests right next to the station concourse, with the city's attractions and transport links a short walk or ride away.

The hotel has 132 rooms, including family and accessible options, all en-suite and air-conditioned, though a few guests have noted the air conditioning can be inconsistent. There's a restaurant and bar on site, plus a snack bar and outdoor seating for something more relaxed, and the breakfast buffet is a genuine highlight, with a good spread of hot dishes and vegetarian choices. Staff service is consistently well regarded, adding to the sense that this is a place that runs smoothly even when busy.

Practical extras include luggage storage, laundry service, packed lunches, meeting rooms and business facilities, making it a sound choice for work trips as well as short city breaks. Parking is available nearby for a fee rather than on site. Beyond the hotel, guests have easy access to nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, with the station itself making onward exploration of Cambridge or day trips further afield entirely straightforward.

When I got off the train and looked right the hotel was there! The staff were friendly and so helpful with helping me locate the town centre. The booking in process was so quick unlike other hotel chains. I loved the onsite coffee shop and the opening hours were so accommodating. The room was so clean and suitable for my stay and I actually slept for once, which I never do in other branded hotels. Thanks Ibis, you were great.

I had a great experience here. Bella was very thoughtful and provided great service, which made my visit even more pleasant. I would also highly recommend the coffee shop located behind the front desk the atmosphere is cozy, thanks to Sarath and val really enjoyed the coffee. It’s a lovely spot to relax. I liked it a lot and will definitely come back again next time.

Room has everything you need and is overall very good quality for the price. Excellent location straight as you come out of the train station and area is safe and clean. Convenient shops and coffee opposite too. Only items of note were the sink was stained brown and the peep hole on the door had no cover and looked directly into the room. Staff v helpful and friendly. Bar/ cafe area in lobby was nice and friendly atmosphere. Would recommend.

Early check-in as I was a member, which was a nice surprise. Staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. We had the breakfast in the morning, there was enough choice and the food was very good. The only thing I found was the hot foods were not that hot, in particular the mushrooms that were quite cold. But enjoyed the breakfast and it set us up nicely for the day.
