About The Orlando
A short walk from pubs, restaurants and eateries, The Orlando on Tenison Road makes a handy base for anyone who'd rather step out for their meals than rely on an in-house dining room. Drinks can also be brought straight to your room, which suits guests who prefer to settle in after a day out rather than head back into town for a nightcap.
Rooms at The Orlando are kept simple and functional, each with an en-suite bathroom and a flat-screen television, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Free WiFi runs throughout the property, and a 24 hour reception means arrivals and queries are dealt with at any hour. Luggage storage is on hand too, useful for early check-ins or late departures.
The property sits within reach of a golf course and local entertainment, alongside its choice of nearby pubs and restaurants, giving guests plenty to fill an evening without travelling far. It's a no-frills option for those who want a functional room in Cambridge and are happy to explore the surrounding area for food and activity.

I had stay at this 8-room boutique house. My room and bathroom were spotless, which I really appreciated. Even though there were other guests, I didn’t experience any noise issues at all it was quiet. Basic essentials like towels, shampoo, and soap were provided, and the Wi-Fi speed was more than adequate. Since I visited during mild weather, I didn't need to use the AC or heating, so I can't comment on those. The location is very close to the train station and supermarkets. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the city center, but there are also bus options nearby if you prefer not to walk. The host was very responsive and answered all my questions promptly. Overall, it's a price-performance spot. I’d definitely stay here again. Note : My room's bathroom was made of glass and was visible, but that wasn't an issue for me. Also, there's no elevator, so you might have trouble with the upper floors if you have very heavy luggage.

Great location near the railway station. Owner is friendly and helpful when asked about checking in earlier and luggage storage. However, the room was simply too noisy. We woke up multiple times in the middle of the night because of the loud beeping sounds of the front door lock, the slamming of the two front doors, the walking up the stairs and the constant walking and talking in other rooms. Furthermore, the room is completely illuminated by the roadside lamps and the shower is bad. Only book this if the price is significantly lower than other establishments in the area and you are a deep sleeper.

Good location, room was clean and price was ok compared to nearby hotels, but this is not a hotel (the website is misleading). It's an old house with rooms converted to individual units with keypads. No reception and no one to contact with any problems. The instructions in the room give the wrong password to the wifi and says we may only contact Claire in case of fire or "lock related emergencies". No one contacted me to see how I was doing. The bed was comfortable. No luggage stand, no dresser for clothes and very little counter space. The heat cannot be adjusted, so hope that you're comfortable with how it's pre-set (I was not). Also, if there is anyone else in the building, you will hear them. Not a terrible place to stay to save some money, but I only recommend if you can get it way cheaper than nearby hotels. Edit: I finally found the wifi password, buried in an email from booking.com, which does work. I have no idea why the printed instructions in the room are incorrect.

I booked a room here very last minute. The owner provided detailed instructions to access the property by key code and I had no issues. The room was lovely and came with soap/shampoo and tea/coffee/water. The location is perfect, especially if you are arriving by train, as it is maybe 3 minutes away from the station. It is also an easy walk to the city center or to a quieter street of shops and restaurants. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. I definitely recommend this hotel!
