This was my first stay at this hotel, and my initial impression was very positive. Unfortunately, when I checked in, I found that my room hadn't been cleaned, so I had to return to reception to request a room change. Thankfully, this was handled efficiently, and I was impressed with how professionally the receptionist dealt with the situation. I had booked the meal deal and found it to be very good value for money. The staff throughout my stay were friendly and attentive, and both the hotel in general and the second room I was given were clean and well maintained. The hotel is located in the city centre so ideal for the shops and market too which I really enjoyed. Despite the issue on arrival, I had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the excellent customer service from the team.

Stayed here for one night midweek and was very impressed. Great price considering the location. Room was absolutely immaculate, bed was very comfortable and all corridors and rooms were very well soundproofed, couldn’t hear a thing overnight despite being in the city centre. Room wasn’t very big but perfect for an overnight stay. Didn’t speak to a single staff member throughout our stay, self check in at the door. Having somebody welcoming guests at reception would have been nice. Breakfast was as expected, definitely not 5* cuisine but adequate for the price - hot, reasonable variety of food and drink but diabolical bacon. Overall a fantastic stay, will be staying again in future.

You can hardly blame this hotel for being the prettiest building in town, but once inside it’s actually a very nice place. The frontdesk service is effecient and friendly. The breakfast is very very british - and thats what I come here for. And the room placed in a long almost endless corridor is very jnice and comfortable. Clean, well-temperatured, very nice bed and a cozy athmosphere, though the purple lightning in the room puts your mind towards some other kinds of establishments. All in all a very nice stay in this very central located hotel.

We stayed here as we were going to an event at the corn exchange. The location is amazing, about 30 seconds from the corn exchange. We couldn’t check in before 3pm but we could leave our bags which were left in a secure room while we wandered around Cambridge. We checked in at 3pm and went to our room which was lovely. It was an upgrade to a new premier room. The room was big, comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the rain shower just what I needed after a late night. We had a minor medical emergency which required use of the first aid box and the lady that helped couldn’t have been more helpful. I had the best night sleep in the massive bed that I have had for ages. The black out curtains did their job and I might go back in a few weeks just for a good nights sleep!! Highly recommend staying here. For the £70 we paid for the night we have no complaints at all and it deserves to be more than a two star hotel.
