About Travelodge Cambridge Orchard Park

Cambridge Science Park is close by, making Travelodge Cambridge Orchard Park a practical base for business visits, while central Cambridge is within easy reach for anyone keen to explore the colleges, museums and riverside spots the city is known for. There's a golf course and a pub or bar nearby too, along with a pizza eatery for a quick meal without venturing far.

The hotel has 138 rooms spread across three floors, all en-suite, with accessible rooms available and drinks provided in-room. Guests generally find the rooms clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious, though some have noted that without air conditioning the rooms can get quite warm. A restaurant on site serves breakfast, and the buffet is a regular high point for guests staying over. Service is friendly and helpful on the whole, though it isn't always consistent.

Free on-site parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, along with an electric vehicle charge point, and the hotel operates a 24-hour reception. Pets are welcome, and a lift serves all floors. It's a straightforward, well-placed option for those wanting easy access to both the Science Park and the city centre without paying central Cambridge prices.

Had a really lovely stay at Travelodge Orchard Park. Bee on reception was absolutely fantastic and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. You can really tell the reception staff go above and beyond for their guests and nothing feels like too much trouble for them. The food was also really nice, fresh and well prepared which was a lovely surprise after a long day. The whole team were friendly, approachable and genuinely cared about making sure guests had a good stay. Would definitely stay here again and a huge thank you to Bee and the team for making the visit so enjoyable!

Good hotel on the outskirts of Cambridge. Bed is very comfortable. Shower is OK, bathroom too. Overall in good state of maintenance. Parking is ample and seems secure. Reception is 24h, as is the bar. Negatives are the lack of mechanical ventilation, so had to leave the window open on a somewhat busy street, and the noisy floors.

We stayed there for about two months—some days it was less than two months, but we were there for nearly two months. We felt at ease, found peace, ate, drank and had fun. You know how it is when you go to visit a distant relative: my great-aunt would say, ‘Oh, how lonely I am,’ and no sooner had she said, ‘Loneliness suffocates a person,’ than she’d add, ‘Oh, they’ve come; they’ve treated the place like a hotel – they’ve eaten, drunk and left.’ We were just like that great-aunt’s cousins. We said our goodbyes, sharing our sorrows, our joys and our emotions. It was lovely; they were all very understanding and kind people. If we made any mistakes, we apologise. If you made any mistakes, we’ve forgotten them. You looked after us so well; thank you. The photographs are of the hotel’s restaurant

Stayed here a couple of times now and it is ideal for the north of Cambridge. It's relatively easy to find, just about has enough free parking. Despite being almost next door to the A14, the rooms that face the road are not blighted by road noise, although this could be a different matter in summer with the windows open. Considering how new the hotel is, there is no aircon in the rooms, so in warm weather, the rooms do get hot. A fan is provided, but it's noisy on full blast. The breakfast is okay, nothing great, but not bad either. We've only stayed on cheaper nights, so all in all I'd say it is value for money, regardless of it's location near to a tourist city. The staff have always been helpful and pleasant. Can't remember whether the O2 signal was any good on the higher floors, but on the ground floor at the front, it was terrible.
