What visitors say
I recently stayed in one of the bell tents the campsite has to offer with my two young children and our dog, and we had a fantastic weekend. The tent was set on a nicely spaced-out pitch, was beautifully presented, and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable, and we especially loved the fire pit and the pioneer grill. Being able to purchase logs from the campsite shop was a great added touch and made the evenings really enjoyable. On arrival, we were welcomed by one of the owners, Sasha, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She talked us through the site, answered any questions we had, and even recommended some great local pubs and walks nearby. We had also pre-booked the wood-fired pizzas on the Friday night, which we collected from the barn down the hill. They were run by the other owner and one of his children, and the pizzas were delicious, reasonably priced, and ideal for easily feeding the kids after a long day outdoors. The campsite is perfectly situated in the Kent Downs while still being only around a 20-minute drive from the beach, giving you the best of both countryside and coast. The facilities were clean, and the showers were excellent with great water temperature. I was actually quite surprised to read some older reviews from last summer describing the owners as rude or unhelpful, as that was completely different from our experience. Both owners were welcoming, approachable, and clearly worked hard to make sure guests enjoyed their stay. Looking through more recent reviews, it seems most people have had a very similar positive experience. Overall, we had an amazing weekend and will definitely be returning in the future.

We think Sunnyfield is such a lovely campsite that we have stayed several times before and are staying again later this season. Great secluded location with plenty of sun but also areas of shade including one with a rope swing to keep the kids entertained. Generous sized pitches mown within the grass and wildflowers, plenty of space overall, and no cars makes for a very relaxed vibe. Good basic facilities always very clean. Excellent pizzas available on a Fri night too. Highly recommended!

Our third time at this lovely campsite. It always has a kind, friendly, fun atmosphere but is quiet and calm too. Super helpful owners and incredible location for the views and wildlife. Pizzas and coffee are always helpful! The facilities are all outside but you don't feel lacking in comfort. We'll likely be back for a 4th visit as the location is great for an explore too.

What a wonderful campsite in such beautiful countryside! We highly recommend the pizzas on Saturdays — absolutely delicious. The Orchard is such a serene, relaxing spot, with well-kept facilities and lovely, welcoming hosts. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return.
