What visitors say

The Wild Woodland Retreat is a real hidden gem in Kent. We have visited for the goat walking on multiple occasions, which is always a fantastic experience. Hannah and the volunteers who lead the walks are very friendly, knowledgeable, and always go above and beyond to make sure my partner's daughter has a special day. On our most recent visit, we stayed in the shepherd's hut over the weekend. It was brilliant, with very homely accommodation and an incredible view to see the sunset. We really enjoyed using the fire pit and the bench swing, which looks out over that amazing scenery. Hannah and Mark are wonderful hosts, always going to great efforts to make our visits special.

My friend and I had an amazing time at goat & sheep yoga. Hannah was brilliant, very friendly and welcoming. The animals are so well looked after and are part of the family, not just for the business which is so lovely to see. Thank you so much, will definitely come again 🐐🐑💚

If I was able to give this review more stars, I truly would and I do not mean that in any other way. Me and my girlfriend booked a spontaneous goat and sheep walk session and added on the goat and sheep yoga for an unbelievable price! We received an email a couple of days prior, notifying us that we were the only people who had booked, so they moved the yoga closer timing-wise, which was brilliant service itself! We arrived at the farm and were introduced to all the goats (12) and the two sheep they housed there and oh my god, we both fell in love instantly! Especially with Klaus and Kerby (the two big sheep). The walk was lovely and gentle with the whole gang and we fed them chestnuts and foraged to help find some and feed them. Then we witnessed them running down a hill which was most entertaining in itself! We had a lot of time spent with the kids in the hut doing yoga, and it was unbelievable, all the goats wanted to do was be on you! It was brilliant. Hannah and her daughter were amazing people and have built something truly special with these cute guys, I am so grateful that they share this experience with other people, it was an amazing spontaneous day out and the yoga was interesting, especially the breathwork! We will definitely be coming back, thank you for allowing us to come and have this amazing experience: Hannah was so lovely and it was great to connect with nature!
