About Knowler Farm
Tucked into the Kent Downs National Landscape near the quiet village of Stelling Minnis, Knowler Farm is an adults-only retreat that strikes a lovely balance between rural seclusion and easy access to Canterbury (just 15 minutes by car). The setting is firmly peaceful – walkers and cyclists appreciate the rolling countryside – yet hot showers, flushing toilets and a proper washing-up area keep things comfortable. Fire pits and locally sourced firewood add atmosphere come evening.
The on-site café serves excellent coffee and cakes, with Friday-night pizzas and monthly acoustic sessions bringing a social buzz. For longer stays, the village shop and post office are close by, plus a pub within walking distance that does food some evenings. Davison's Mill (10 minutes on foot) is known for cream teas on summer Sundays. Families visiting during permitted times can arrange bushcraft or archery sessions with qualified instructors.
Canterbury, Howletts Wild Animal Park and Leeds Castle are all within easy reach, while both Hythe and Whitstable beaches sit comfortably under an hour away – and St Pancras is under two hours by train if you're escaping London for the weekend.

What visitors say
I recently camped here as part of an event and it was lovely. The staff were every so friendly and you really get a family vibe from the place. The surrounding country side is stunning and also not to far to a main road for easy access. It has everything you could need on site however there is also a local shop and pub near by. Looking forward to coming back soon.

The space and all was fine. The people who ran the site were laid back and left you alone which is what you want but the facilities were diabolical. I refused to use them anymore after the first day. The facilities in general were poor but they had clearly never been cleaned or were not going to be cleaned. The showers were just a shed with no drainage and the toilets were just a solid no.

This is a great campsite for many reasons - the fact it's adults only means for a peaceful stay. The facilities are basic- 2 x showers, 2 x toilets and a dressing room - but just what you need when camping. Hot showers and flushing loos with plenty of toilet roll and a washing up area. Really helpful staff on site and spacious surroundings with great opportunities for star gazing and nature spotting. You can borrow fire pits and buy a huge bag of firewood for just £5. There is a cafe on site serving delicious coffee and cakes in the mornings. 30mins from Folkestone and 15mins to Canterbury with access to great walks in surrounding areas. Local pub and shop are convenient. I would recommend this site to experienced campers who don't need any flashy add ons! Simple and basic but ideal for what I was after.
