Oakdene Retreats - Sea Beet
Canterbury
Photo: Google Maps
Whitstable's High Street runs just beyond the garden gate, yet Sea Beet sits in quiet enough ground to feel like a proper retreat. The beach is a three-minute walk away. The village itself—a working fishing port with galleries, restaurants and a shingle shore—spreads around you, and Canterbury is close enough for a day trip without needing the car.
Inside, the open-plan ground floor joins living space, dining area and kitchen in one room, with a separate toilet and access to a patio garden. The kitchen has everything for self-catering: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave-grill combination, coffee machine and wine cooler. Upstairs, one bedroom holds a king bed; the other has two zip-together single beds that form a double if needed, and its own smart TV. There is one bathroom with a bath, shower and heated towel rail. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and towels come as standard, plus wi-fi throughout.
The place suits families, couples and friends travelling together, and one dog stays free. There's a patio area with garden furniture, private parking for one car, and an electric car charging point. No smoking inside.
