About Travelodge Cardiff Gate

A bar and breakfast on site make Travelodge Cardiff Gate a straightforward base for anyone passing through on the M4 or visiting the business park nearby. The restaurant serves cooked breakfasts and evening meals, though the kitchen doesn't always get it quite right, so expect a functional rather than fine-dining experience.

The hotel has 78 rooms spread across three floors, all with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in room. Rooms are generally kept clean and modern for the price, though some can be noisy, so light sleepers might want to ask for a quieter spot. A lift serves all floors, and there are meeting rooms for business guests, plus free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point.

Staff are consistently helpful, which counts for a lot at this price point. The location suits both business trips and short breaks, with golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment all nearby, alongside a choice of pubs and restaurants for evenings when you fancy eating off-site. Pets are welcome, and Cardiff city centre is a quick run away for anyone wanting a change of scene.

The staff here are the best I've experienced at any of the Travelodge hotels I've stayed at - the room is up to the normal standard with a comfy bed and the very quiet. I wasn't disturbed once on any of the 4 nights that I stayed. location is perfect to access the motorway and there is a welcome break services next door with food and drink.. There is a restaurant on site and an all you can eat breakfast buffet for £10.85 as well as dinner stuff like burgers and pizza all in all - perfect for a business base of you are working in Wales or a great trip break if you are traveling to the north .

hotel itself is not bad with a good breakfast but if your a commercial driver beware ! The parking is NOT FREE as advertised. £32 to park my coach. My company uses Travelodge as we can normally park safely. Apparently not this one. This should be advertised actually its false advertising. My stay cost £100 with parking for a Travelodge ?

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were incredibly supportive—special thanks to Jodie for her kindness. When my car was damaged, the team went above and beyond by allowing us to stay a little longer, helping with our luggage, and offering great support throughout. I would strongly recommend this place.

Upon arrival I was checked in by a very happy lady and when I arrived at my room it was seemingly the new style rooms that Travelodge have recently decided upon new style chairs a new darker blue a new picture above the bed a modern television and my room was spotless and I could smell how clean the bathroom was. The shower was instantly warm new style lighting above the bed and I didn’t hear a noise from outside all night very happy and was a bargain too. Also, this Travelodge has a bar and can sell you a breakfast unlike many others.
