About The Coach & Horses Inn & Restaurant
Newport's Dewstow Road area is home to The Coach & Horses Inn & Restaurant, a compact hotel with just three rooms but a surprising spread of facilities for its size. It makes a straightforward base for visiting the wider Newport area, with Caldicot within a short drive and Worlebury Golf Club nearby for anyone keen on a round.
Rooms come with air conditioning, drinks provided, and free WiFi, and the small scale of the place means a more personal feel than you'd get at a larger hotel. Guests have access to a lift, porter and concierge services, and free on-site parking, along with luggage storage for those breaking up a longer journey.
On site there's a restaurant and bar for meals without needing to head out, plus an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa or sauna for guests who want to unwind. The garden and meeting rooms add further flexibility, and the property also operates as a wedding venue for those planning a celebration in Newport.
Diners like this restaurant's delicious and high-quality food, with many praising the steaks, lamb, and varied specials menu. They also highlight the welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, and convenient free parking.
Some reviews mention the food can be overpriced.
