About Austins Guest House
Cardiff's mix of city convenience and easy travel connections makes it a practical base, and Austins Guest House sits within that setup, close enough to Cardiff Central to make arriving without a car straightforward. The guest house occupies two redbrick buildings, giving it a slightly more residential, low-key feel than a standard city hotel.
Rooms are kept simple and casual, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms for those travelling with children, and an apartment option for guests wanting more space or a longer stay. Breakfast is available if wanted rather than included as standard, and free WiFi, drinks in the room, luggage storage and 24 hour reception cover the practical side of a stay.
Pubs, bars and restaurants are all within reach nearby, along with entertainment options for evenings out. For those wanting to get outdoors, the area offers cycling and walking routes, plus golf, fishing and watersports nearby for a change of pace from the city centre. Weston Seaquarium is another point of interest not far away, giving visitors a specific outing to plan around.
What guests say
This place was worth what you pay, I needed a quick cheap place to stay last minute. It was very clean, communication was great as I was arriving late evening. Rooms very basic, they have what you need but very old furniture etc. The mattresses in room number 10 need replacing you lay on them and the springs crunch and you're nearly laying on the base. The skylight needs fixed, the shared toilet on top floor is loosse. Once these little things are done then there would be no negatives, it's very clean, Inc bedding, towels etc. No parking outside, you need to drive quite a bit to park and pay. Like say though, well worth what I paid for the night. You get what you pay for.

Room was clean, beds were comfy. and it is in a great location. But that's about it. The TV didn't work and the blinds weren't working so got woken up 6am by blinding sunlight. Shower also wasn't great. I wouldn't stay again.

I had a reservation in this place confirmed two months ago, when i tried to check in there were no member of the staff inside, it had to be a guest a really nice guy who called them since i couldn't with my foreing phone, nobody answered, they hadn't send me any message with check in info.....so pretty much i was on my own, i was lucky it was early still and a could get another accomodation nearby but it was weekend and town was quite busy so if i had just arrived later.....do yourself a favor and avoid this place but if you don't trust me there is a bridge next to the place....you can use it as plan B and sleep under it.

Great location. Reasonbily clearn. Room too small and not insulated so can hear noise outside and within the house. So I didn't sleep well.
