This place was brilliant. We stayed for our 4 year anniversary during late may bank holiday. The cabins were very well equiped and spotlessly clean. Outside, the hot tub was also immaculate. The owners were absolutley lovely. On their property, they have chickens, guinea pigs, 2 lovely sheep dogs, Basil the ginger cat and a shetland pony that they let out into the field in the morning! If we ever get the opportunity, we will definately be back!

I booked Thornfield for a weekend away with my husband for his birthday. It was a first time experience, having never visited the site before. But I must say - WOW!! Couldn’t be more blown away with every aspect of this place. 10/10 on every aspect - views / quality/ cleanliness / attention to detail/ friendly and attentive owners/ a non-wood fire hot tub!! (Hate those ones) / brilliant location / AND there’s chickens on site! Amazing!! We visited in June 2026 and they had so many outdoor games available for use by all- not just for kids! The views from the hot tubs are exceptional and each cabin is very private from the next. They are super dog friendly (as long as your dog is well behaved of course ) and they provided us with a fan for us in the hot weather ! One final thing, as I could go on forever, but I let the owners know it was my husband’s birthday and they set up balloons / posters and even wrote him a card !! It was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and so attentive and kind. I will definitely return again and recommend this place to everyone

This place was magical. So peaceful and well maintained. A lot of thought was put into the cabins from a full kitchen to heated floors. They even put fresh milk in the fridge for coffee or tea which is also provided. The staff were so nice and helpful. I will definitely come back for another stay!

Beautiful location, really well maintained. Couldn’t fault this place! Facilities like the pod and hot tup were perfect. Owners were very friendly and lovely to talk too. We took our dog and even he was thought of with a little treat (such a lovely touch) I would highly recommend and would definitely visit again. We were blown away at just how nice the area was. Not to mention the chickens (these are brilliant) Thanks for a very pleasant weekend away, we loved it!!
