About Dalston Hall Holiday Park & Golf Club
Tucked just outside Carlisle, Dalston Hall Holiday Park & Golf Club offers a straightforward base for exploring Cumbria's northern reaches. The site caters to adults only, providing a quieter atmosphere for those who prefer it, and welcomes dogs—ideal if you're touring with four-legged companions. Electric hook-ups, showers, toilets, and drinking water cover the essentials, though don't expect WiFi; you'll be properly off-grid here.
Its location makes it a handy stopover whether you're pushing north into Scotland or heading west toward the Lakes. The on-site golf club adds a pleasant extra if you fancy a round between excursions. It's nothing fancy, but for a no-fuss pitch with decent facilities and easy access to Carlisle and beyond, Dalston Hall does the job well.

What visitors say
Absolutely awful owner who is rude beyond belief! Go to Camping at Cardewless instead!! After staying with friends on this site, the owner complained constantly to us about noise levels, when we were outside in daylight hours! The fact we couldn't bring our children in who were quiet and behaving and asked us to leave with nowhere to go! Absolutely 0 atmosphere, seemed more like an old-persons home than somewhere to enjoy. I would NEVER recommend this campsite. The owners are absolutely awful. Avoid at all costs.

This site is perfect in every way, I couldn't imagine a better place to buy a static. The owners and their sons are so friendly and so hardworking, nothing is too much trouble. Site is beautifully kept, peaceful and so relaxing! You don't even have to leave the site as you can walk miles on-site, the wildlife is spectacular. Location of the site to the coast, the Lakes and Scotland is brilliant and with a cities amenities a couple of miles away, you really couldn't ask for anything more! I quite simply couldn't be happier!

A lovely peaceful gem in the countryside. The caravan site is terrific, tranquil and beautifully kept. A very warm and friendly welcome where nothing is a problem awaits you. The family that run the site are absolutely wonderful and very helpful. On the weekend the site clubhouse is open and the food served we recommend the steak pie and the scampi it has a wide variety of dishes and everyone is so friendly. We booked for the May bank holiday weekend and loved the walks and the nine hole golf course so much we stayed the week. We would absolutely love it if they managed to open up all of the old nine hole golf course. We will definitely be going back to visit.
