About Premier Inn Carlisle M6 Jct44
A cooked breakfast and an on-site restaurant and bar make Premier Inn Carlisle M6 Jct44 a practical stop just off the motorway, though the restaurant food itself doesn't always match the standard of the breakfast, and service at busy times can be a little slow. Free parking at the front of the hotel is included, with electric vehicle charging also available, and drinks can be brought straight to your room.
The hotel has 128 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, and staff are generally friendly and helpful, making it a straightforward, good-value base whether you're passing through or stopping for a night.
Carlisle city centre and Kingstown Retail Park are both within easy reach, and there's plenty to do nearby, including golf, fishing and horse riding, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment close at hand. Reception operates around the clock, so arrival times are flexible.
What guests say
This hotel is clean, well-kept with friendly staff and is very conveniently located. Being so close to Junction 44 of the M6 is great for trips out further afield and yet the immediate environment around the hotel is green and pleasant and surprisingly rural-looking. Moreover, a huge Asda stores is only a short walk away. The hotel's free Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our six-night stay and was fast enough for streaming YouTube videos. The car park is large enough for there always to be easy and convenient parking and we appreciated this being free of any additional charges. We must also mention the fantastic, beautifully-cooked eat-all-one-likes breakfasts. A great stay! Thank you!

Receptionist was great, bar staff were hard to find and seemed I was an inconvenience in the restaurant. Room was clean but dated, with no air-conditioning but a standing fan supplied. Food was sub par, had the mixed grill for £21. Gammon was nice, chicken was nice but only 1/2 a chicken breast. Steak was 50% gristle and overcooked. The sausages were catering type and I feel they were deep fried but definitely inedible, the egg was absolutely hard and rubbery and inedible. The chips and peas were acceptable but the tomato and onion rings were missing completely. I didn't complain because no-one asked if everything was OK. Not been to a Premier Inn for year but I wouldn't hurry back for a £100 a night experience.

The staff were particularly lovely and helpful. We were very impressed with the good food and the Meal Deal was a no brainier!! Really enjoyed our evening in the Thyme Restaurant! The room was comfortable and as expected. I did feel the corridor was very tired and smelt a bit of smelly feet! Could do with a deep clean! Otherwise if definitely stay again!!

Great location for stopping off while travelling up the M6/74 as I was but not for sightseeing as situated in an industrial/commercial estate out of the town. Staff friendly and helpful despite being worked very hard over a busy breakfast shift. Bar and breakfast area reasonably smart, and rooms OK but general building looking tired. Overall would stay here again to break a long journey.
