About Travelodge Carlisle Todhills
Carlisle sits just off the M6, making it a natural break for anyone travelling between England and Scotland, and Travelodge Carlisle Todhills is built for exactly that purpose. Positioned on the southbound side of the motorway, it's a no-fuss stopover with 66 rooms, free on-site parking and electric vehicle charging points, plus a service area café and a Costa Coffee nearby for a quick coffee before getting back on the road.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds and drinks-making facilities, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Breakfast is served on site, and there are restaurants nearby for anything more substantial. Pets are welcome, which is useful for anyone breaking up a long journey with a four-legged travelling companion.
Staff are generally noted as friendly and helpful, and rooms are kept clean and spacious with functional showers, though the building itself can show its age in places. For a practical, well-located overnight stay just off the motorway, it does the job without pretence.

What guests say
I recently stayed at the Travelodge Todhills located on the M6 services, and overall it was a fairly positive experience for a basic roadside hotel. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, just somewhere to rest during a long journey, and it certainly delivered on that. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, offering helpful information and making the check-in process quick and simple. It genuinely felt like they cared about guests getting a comfortable night’s rest, which isn’t always the case at service-station hotels. The room itself was quite simple, with very few extras, but it was clean and well presented. The bed was surprisingly comfortable considering the budget pricing, and the sheets, pillows, and mattress were all fresh and tidy. For travellers, this is probably the most important thing, and it’s something the hotel got right. Facilities were minimal but perfectly serviceable: a working TV, tea and coffee, a clean bathroom, and functional shower. Nothing luxurious, but everything did what it was supposed to do. Being located at a service station means there aren’t many on-site amenities beyond the essentials, but if you need food or a quick drink, there are a few options within walking distance. The main downside is that it’s clearly just a place to sleep rather than somewhere to relax or spend time. However, for an overnight stop, that might be all you need. Overall, it’s a straightforward, clean, and affordable choice for travellers, especially if your priorities are a good bed and friendly customer service.

Stopped over here for a night, on the road south. Great spot, easy location off the M6, seamless check in, clean room, good parking. Costa in the same car park for breakfast and BP station a 1 minute walk with all you could need, meal deals, hot snacks, alcohol, 0.0%, sweets, crisps. All in all great spot for a nights rest and enough nearby to unwind of an evenin, and fuel you and your vehicle in the morning. If EV is your thing, there looked to be numerous options for you in the car park!

Very over priced for a one night stay for one room was like £133 that was including £15 for our small dog to stay which is fine but not fine if wasn't even bowls in room or offered bowls, paid extra for internet which was also very, slow data on phone was faster, cheap coffee, TV is tiny and ancient, also car park absolutely rammed with Amazon vans and place full of Amazon workers, no food just a crap vending machine, cheap camp beds for kids, room roasting and just a small fan, overall very overpriced and would not come back tbh hopefully they sort all these issues out.

Maybe a perfect location for a stopover but that is almost it, rooms fine. However I understand you will have an element of noise from the motorway but sleeping in room 14 we may as well have been asleep in a grass verge, having the window open or closed makes no difference it’s unbearable.
