About Woodland Rise Camping and Caravanning

Tucked into a meadow at Fferm Fach farm near the quiet village of Blaen-y-coed, this family-run site is a proper retreat for dog owners and walkers. There's ample space for four-legged friends to roam, local woodland trails heavy with bluebells in spring, and the Carmarthenshire coast less than half an hour away for dramatic headland rambles. By night, the rural location delivers genuinely dark skies and a peaceful atmosphere that campers consistently praise.

The newly-built amenities cabin is cosy and well-maintained, with hot showers, washing-up facilities and a parent-and-baby room, plus chemical disposal and gas sales on hand. WiFi is available for a small charge, though the remote setting does mean speeds can be limited. Pitches span grass and hardstanding options, all with optional electric hook-up, and barbecues and campfires are both welcome. Carmarthen (six miles) covers supplies, while the Blue Bell Inn and Nag's Head provide nearby dining.

Perfect peaceful family friendly, small site with large electric pitch spaces. The grass area was brilliant for tent pitches on just a slight slope. Dog friendly with plenty of room for dog walks in a field just behind. The children had plenty of room to play and the toilets, showers and kitchen facilities were kept clean. Having a wash up area, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster was most convenient along with hot showers in both wash rooms. Absolutely beautiful views! and the stars were amazing at night. At such a reasonable price for both stay and hire of firepit, logs also available to purchase on site. The owner was exceptionally accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, being very friendly and approachable. Thank you so much for our lovely stay over the weekend. We will definitely be returning soon! 🙂

What an absolutely lovely little campsite! The owner is such a nice gentleman who didn't mind helping us set up and put away our tent. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We stayed here with 3 children who had plenty of space to run around and on request the owner arranged for our tent pitch to be near the toilets as I have a child with special needs and toileting issues. The campsite was quiet and peaceful and well maintained. Good facilities and clean toilets and shower rooms. Had a wonderful time staying here and will definitely be back. Thanks Trevor your doing an amazing job!

A lovely little gem of a site, perfect for our first ever camping trip 😃 our 4 boys (2 mine, 2 our friends) had free rein to play and run around. They were especially excited about each having a turn lighting the logs in the fire pit supplied by a Trevor, the very accommodating and pleasant owner. Lovely hot showers, clean kitchen with toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge, well ordered rubbish and disposal area away from the living areas. Views are beautiful over the hills and we were lucky enough to be treated to a breathtaking meteor shower one evening!! And last but not least - the cucumber and tomatoes left for guests to use - from their own garden was such a personal touch 😊. Thank you Trevor, from the Chalkley’s & The Dean’s

Had a lovely stay. Toilets are clean and constantly has heating. There is a kitchen area with a fridge and microwave (which we did not use). Electricity is paid when you leave and reasonable. Great field for running around with the dog Trevor is very helpful. Would definitely stay here again
