Tucked away on a working farm near Newbiggin, this off-grid roundhouse offers something genuinely different – a self-contained bolt-hole sleeping up to four, complete with its own wood-fired hot tub. The quirky circular design and farm setting make it feel properly remote, yet you're handily placed for dipping into the Lake District and exploring the Cumbrian coast.
Inside you'll find basic but cosy facilities including shower, toilet and drinking water, though there's no WiFi (part of the charm if you're after a proper digital detox). It's family-friendly and open year-round, so works as well for a winter escape as a summer break. Just note that pets aren't allowed, so you'll need to leave four-legged friends at home.

Beautiful off grid get away. It really is as lovely as it looks and sounds. Fabulously warm and snug, despite the weather. Lovely views and places to walk just out the door…. Hot tub is also great, very scenic and sheltered, need to work a bit to get it hot, but that makes it all the more glorious. Been here a couple of times and Adele is always really helpful. Highly recommended :-)

What a gorgeous, secluded and relaxing place to take a few days out with your loved ones ❤️ The peace and quiet, comfy bed, picturesque views and amazing hot tub were just sublime ! Adele the host was so thoughtful throughout our trip ! This is the place to visit to get away from your busy life! We will be coming back 🫶✨️

Myself and my family stayed here for new year and it was amazing. There’s everything you need and more while you’re there and also some nice gifts that are a bonus. The roundhouse is amazing and the hot tub is unreal under the stars and was especially good while it was rather fierce weather during our stay. Adele is a brilliant host and makes sure you’re looked after while you’re there. An amazing experiance and can’t wait to return. Thanks from Dan, Alex and Zach.

Thank you so very much for a fantastic overnight stay. The Roundhouse is unique and exactly as described. It is spacious and you have thought of everything that visitors would require in a stay. The furnishings throughout are of a very high standard with a king size double bed and large walk in shower. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and wine glasses etc that anyone could need. The surrounding area is simply stunning with varied local walks. Not forgetting the incredible wood fired hot tub which we were lucky enough to experience on a clear, star lit night.
