Mollance Farm Campsite is a tiny, adults-only retreat just outside Castle Douglas – think fewer than ten electric gravel pitches tucked into peaceful farmland with spectacular Galloway scenery all around. It's a proper wildlife haven and walkers' paradise, ideal if you want remote seclusion without sacrificing facilities: there's a shower block, drainage hook-ups for tourers, and dogs are welcome year-round.
The location puts you within easy reach of cycling routes, fishing, golf and horse riding, plus a bar and shop nearby when you need supplies. With its high Google rating and tranquil setting, Mollance makes an excellent base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway – though at around £30 a night for gravel pitches, some might find it a touch pricey for the simplicity on offer.

Beautiful campsite. Two areas for caravans/motorhomes with five spaces in each area. Spotlessly clean, spacious bathrooms, of which there were two in each area, comprising of shower, toilet and washbasin. Electric hookup easily accessible but the fresh water was a bit tricky to access if you don't have a long hose with you. Separate area for emptying waste, toilet/elsan and recycling. Beautiful views of surrounding hills as well as a duck pond. Highly recommend. £30 per night

Visited Mollance Farm again this year as a returning customer. Toilets and showers spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. Farm dogs very friendly. Sheena and Derek very welcoming as always. Lovely and peaceful with lovely views. Ian & Peggy Blain, Ayr

Caravan club site. Great sized gravel pitches each with ehu. Very clean and tidy toilet/showers. Beautiful place to stay. Derek & Sheena keep it a 5 star location.

A lovely and quiet caravan park with a big pond next to it. It was lovely to watch/listen to the birds around us. Excellent views of picturesque rolling hills.
