Ystrad Meurig sits in the Ystwyth Forest, surrounded by the kind of landscape that draws people to rural Ceredigion. The Glen is a detached cottage within this setting, with woodland on its doorstep and a network of walking routes threading through the area. Nearby stands Devil's Bridge, a historic three-arched structure that marks access to waterfalls and river paths. The wider region offers both upland hikes with views across open countryside and coastal villages within reach along Cardigan Bay, where seal colonies and seabirds are common sights.
Accommodation comprises two bedrooms—a kingsize and two singles—and one bathroom. Downstairs is an open-plan living space with a woodburner (initial fuel supplied), dining area, and kitchen equipped for everyday cooking. A shower cubicle and separate toilet serve the property. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. Two cars can park on site, and one well-behaved dog can stay free of charge. The cottage has a patio with garden furniture and a natural water supply from a borehole. There is no TV reception, and smoking is not permitted inside.

Really lovely place to come and get away from everything. Bang in the haford estate with several walks from the doorstep. Cottage is nice enough, furniture a little tired and outdated but kitchen has been renovated recently and the beds were lovely and comfy. Major downside is the smell of eggy water for drinking and using the shower. If you can get past that then it's a lovely place to chill. Nearest shop is a 20 min drive on beautiful windy roads, come prepared!

The Glen is situated in the most amazing setting but sadly this property has been slowly neglected over the yrs and could really do with some TLC.

We've been staying at the Glen for 13yrs. Once used to the bore water, the rest is pure bliss. It's so nice to be able to have a place to fully rest up without TV, dvd, internet, radio or the like. The dog loves being let out the door for morning and nights walks, and hikes for the day and all week!! Scenery is breathtaking, and you'll never take photo or see a scene twice!!

If you're looking for peace and quiet then this is for you. A bit rough and ready around the edges but very relaxing.
