Y Dorlan is a seven-bedroom property on the River Teifi near Cardigan, sleeping up to 15 guests with exclusive use of the whole place. The main house and separate annexe contain a mix of king and single beds across a range of room sizes, with five bathrooms and showers between them. A games room has pool, table football, darts and table tennis; the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; and entertainment includes a 55-inch TV, DVD and Blu-ray players. Everything essential—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—comes as standard.

The real draw is what lies outside: an indoor heated swimming pool (24ft by 12ft), sauna and hot tub are all on site. The enclosed garden has a patio, terrace and BBQ, with space to park several cars and store cycles. The river is about 100 yards away. Cardigan town centre is nearby, and Fronteifi nature lodges lie within reach for exploring the area. The property is set up for families and couples; note there are 15–20 steps to reach the rear of the building.

Fantastic break for 14 family members aged 6 to 65. Lovely welcome hamper. Very spacious inside and out, with ample private parking for our 5 vehicles. Nice and clean, with plenty of comfortable sleeping and seating. Great variety of recreational facilities, with a number of us making use of the pool and hot tub on most days. Huge 16 seater square dining room table which could be split into separate tables if needed. Stunning views from the house and patio of the River Teifi at the end of the garden, especially at sunset. Conveniently short drive to various shops, beaches and boat trips. We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend Y Dorlan as a top class venue for a break.

The house is amazing with so many rooms and sleeping areas well separated. Lots of cots / travel cots for children, even a toddler bed. Well equipped kitchen with lots of pots and pans, plates and cutlery, even for the kids. Washer and tumble dryer means you can pack light. The pool is amazing and warm the kids loved it. The hot tub lovely with great views over the river. Paula is a great host and always on hand to clarify any points.

We had a wonderful fortnight here. The pool was always lovely and warm and the sauna was a treat. The outdoor hot tub was probably our favourite. We used it every day (really hot which is great if it's raining) and watched the tide ebb and flow and watched and heard the geese coming and going. There's loads of space inside and the annexe was ideal for our newly-weds. The only thing that wasn't working when we got there was the TV in the master bedroom but Paula replaced it the next day. Y Dorlan is one of the nicest places we've stayed - you'll love it!
