About Dimpsey Glamping Somerset
Perched on a small working farm in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, Dimpsey Glamping Somerset offers a genuinely peaceful escape. The adult-only shepherd's huts come with ensuite facilities and private hot tubs – a real treat after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. Facilities are simple but thoughtful: showers, toilets, and drinking water are all provided, and the site welcomes guests year-round.
The setting feels properly remote without being inaccessible, making it ideal for couples seeking a proper break from the everyday. Just note that pets aren't permitted and there's no WiFi, which is entirely the point here. If you're after a quiet, romantic retreat with a touch of luxury in Somerset's lovely Blackdown Hills, this ticks the boxes nicely.

What visitors say
Highly recommend Dimpsey Dapple. Beautifully curated shepherds hut in the most gorgeous spot. If you need to press pause, this is the place to visit. The private sauna was a real treat and who’d have thought the outside copper bathtub and shower would become such a ritual! Emma and Andrew included some very thoughtful touches, the birthday bunting, whisper of music as you enter and teacups ready and waiting , biscuits, breakfast and honeycomb. Every nook and cranny had something wonderful to find. It was just the most glorious place to stay.

We had the most incredible stay in Dimpsey and were only sad when we had to leave after two nights of absolute bliss! From the moment we arrived we were super relaxed and all the extra finishing touches were so special and made our weekend away so memorable and magical. Classical music was playing upon our arrival, we were left treats of hot chocolate, biscuits, honeycomb, eggs, tomatoes and the hosts did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The inside and outside baths were absolutely amazing and to be so surrounded by nature felt unreal - we were even lucky enough to hear owls at nighttime! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we appreciated all the extra touches so much and will certainly be recommending to everyone

Perfect for a solo trip I stayed in the Hither Shepherds Hut for two nights and honestly could have stayed much longer. When I arrived, the fire had already been lit, so I walked into a warm, cosy cabin with the radio playing, it felt instantly welcoming. As I had a little look around the cabin, I noticed so many thoughtful little touches that I won’t give away for anyone thinking of booking as it’s nice to discover them for yourself. The cabin had everything I needed, but the day bed was definitely my favourite spot. I spent hours there just reading and unwinding. Breakfast was a lovely bonus, and the hot tub was much easier to heat than I expected. Soaking in the evening with the fairy lights glowing was exactly what I needed. As a woman, travelling solo I felt completely safe knowing someone was nearby if I needed anything, while still feeling secluded enough to truly relax and get some much-needed rest. I remember reading a review that said, “if you’re thinking about it, just book it,” and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you, Emma and Andrew and the rest of the Dimpsey team.

Taking time away together is so important to us , life is fabulous, busy and full on. I was searching for something different and found it at Dimpsey Glamping. We stayed in Dapple with its own Sauna and outdoor Copper bath. Impressive availability of high pressure, piping hot water. The attention to detail is superb and Emma and Andrew have clearly poured their hearts and knowledge of Indulgent wild living into these beautiful cabins. We went to the coast, entering Devon and Dorset and walked the suggested walks around the cabins and vetured inland in our 3 days there, but always gravitated back to Dapple to sit by the fire and listen to the soundscape of Nature . It was my birthday so i booked a treatment with Gilly ( Burrow Wellness) 90 mins of complete bliss and one of the best treatments i have ever experienced...and i have had a few 😉. For us this is going to be hard to top and i feel Yonder calling !!! Thank you a truly indulgent wild escape at Dimpsey.
