Briarfields Touring Park

Perfectly situated to explore the towns of Gloucester and Cheltenham and the wider Cotswolds, Briarfields has the feel of a quiet countryside retreat but has a 24 HR bus service available at the end of the road. The grounds are exceptionally well maintained with wide, flat pitches. The toilet/ shower block was never less than immaculate for the whole week we were there. Even the check in procedure was very friendly and super efficient. There is a tiny amount of road and, occasionally, aircraft noise but in our opinion it was not at all intrusive. We would not hesitate to book here again if we revisit the area

From booking until departure, staff were brilliant! Pitches were good sizes and the site was very well laid out. All facilities were spotless and would definitely go again and recommend it to others. Really good to have buses just outside the entrance and we visited both Cheltenham and Gloucester. Supermarket was also within walking distance.

We originally booked six nights, but after just two days we were enjoying ourselves so much that we added another four. From the moment we arrived, we were given a genuinely warm welcome; the owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The site is beautifully laid out, pretty, and equipped with everything you could want for a comfortable visit. There’s a well‑designed motorhome service area with a drive‑over waste‑water point, two chemical disposal stations, plenty of fresh‑water taps, and two recycling and rubbish points. Everything is thoughtfully positioned to make life easy. The shower and toilet facilties are lovely, spotlessly clean, modern and equipped with soap, hand dryers and hair dryers. There is a laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing board, as well as a washing up area. A bus stop right outside the gate offers services to Cheltenham and Gloucester every 15 minutes. Cheltenham is especially worth a trip, with its elegant Regency architecture, independent shops, great bars and restaurants, and lovely parks.We had a wonderful week and will definitely be returning. We stayed in a motorhome and we had a great 3 days. We were contacted in advance to let us know there was unexpected overrunning gas works, not their fault but we very much appreciated being told and offered a full refund which we declined and it didn't impact on our stay at all. Transport links to Cheltenham and Gloucester are excellent. Site, staff and washroom facilities also excellent. Site very well kept and pitches of a good size and level. There's also a lovely field in which to exercise your dog. Supermarkets within easy walking distance. No proper pubs close by but I understand the site are opening a bar and kitchen later in 2026 which will make it just about perfect. There is some background noise but it's a more than acceptable trade off for the sites convenient location and it didn't affect our stay at all, we slept very soundly even with the windows open ! All in all a lovely site and we'll most definitely be returning
