There are just 13 rooms, giving Manor by The Lake an intimate scale rather than that of a large hotel. We recently had our civil wedding and reception at Manor by the Lake and honestly could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our day. From the moment we first visited over a year ago, we completely fell in love with it. One of the biggest reasons we chose Manor by the Lake was because of the variety of beautiful spaces available throughout the venue, it made every part of the day feel so special and unique, from the ceremony through to the evening celebrations. The onsite accommodation was also such a huge bonus for us and our guests. The planning journey from start to finish felt effortless, and a massive thank you has to go to Joanna, who guided us through everything with so much patience and kindness. No question ever felt too silly, and she was always there to help, reassure us and make sure every detail was covered. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but the team genuinely made the process enjoyable. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly and the team were honestly incredible. Rebecca was so supportive throughout the entire day and made sure everything was flowing perfectly behind the scenes, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. We’ve had so many compliments from our guests about the venue, the atmosphere and how beautiful everything was. Manor by the Lake will always hold such a special place in our hearts and we are so grateful to the whole team for helping create the most amazing memories. We had our wedding at manor by the lake 27/06/2026 and I cannot recommend the venue enough. Beautiful venue gorgeous location to get married and lovely rooms. Amazingly helpful staff who go above and beyond to make your special day perfect. Special mention to Ellie who made our vision come to life on the day and Duncan who coordinated the day so everything ran smoothly. Wonderful food aswell. Truly the most perfect day.

We absolutely loved photographing a wedding at Manor by the Lake. It's one of those venues that just keeps giving throughout the day. The interiors are stunning, with so many unique spaces full of character, from the grand gothic-style rooms to the incredible games room with its pool table and iconic red sofas. Even on a cold April day when we spent most of our time indoors, there were endless opportunities for beautiful, creative photographs. The grounds are equally lovely, and it's clear so much care goes into maintaining every part of the venue. The team were brilliant throughout the day too – friendly, organised and always happy to help, making everything run smoothly for both the couple and suppliers. If you're planning a wedding and want a venue with loads of personality, gorgeous backdrops whatever the weather, and a fantastic team behind it, Manor by the Lake is an easy recommendation. We'd love to be back again soon!

Manor by the lake is an absolutely beautiful location. On the lead up to our wedding the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were always so lovely. Our special day was amazing and all that we had hoped it would be! Every single one of our guests complimented the venue and how amazing the food was!
