About Best Western Plus Cheltenham Regency Hotel
Set on Gloucester Road on the western edge of Cheltenham, this Best Western Plus hotel offers straightforward, well-priced accommodation with the advantage of free on-site parking, useful given the restrictions in the town centre. It is a short drive rather than a walk to the Promenade and main attractions, but a practical base for visitors arriving by car.
Bedrooms are comfortably if simply furnished, and the hotel includes an indoor swimming pool, gym and a restaurant serving breakfast and evening meals. Its function rooms are regularly used for local events, weddings and conferences.
The hotel's location suits visitors prioritising value and parking over a central position, and it is a popular choice during the Cheltenham Festival for racegoers wanting easy road access rather than a walk into town.
What guests say
Lets start with the question everyone wants to know " what's the breakfast like"? It's very good, I do prefer it cooked to order rather than self-service from a buffet. The coffee was good too, hot and strong from a cafetiere. The hotel is in a great location, at the top of the Promenade. The room was comfortable although on the warm side as the AC doesn't work. The staff tried their best with fans and an ice bucket. And what a wonderful staircase.

The Queens is located conveniently in town and is near transit routes. The rooms are big and the decor is charming. Service was both friendly and timely at the front desk. They were seamless to deal with when booking and breakfast was enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to Chenltenham.

Very good hotel brilliant staff, very impressive hall and stairs. My daughter and I had to ask to move rooms, which was no problem the young man (Jack) on reception was very helpful and accommodating. The first room had a very unpleasant oudor, we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was lovely of him to do. However there are some issues concerning the bathroom, towels very thin and grey. Definitely need replacing. Not enough storage in room, especially for two ladies sharing. No suitcase stand, had to store suitcases on the windowsill. Bathroom provides handwash and lotion, unfortunately pump dispenser at the top very dirty. Handle needed to step down from shower tray, as quite high. Bed very very comfortable and spotless fabulous pillows.Overall enjoying our stay just a few tweeks needed improve the overall comfort of our stay.

Just back from two nights at the Queens hotel. Impressive building in a beautiful location. Check in easy and polite. Our room was large with a super king bed. On the main road so road noise was a bit of a problem. Unfortunately nothing can be done about this, as beautiful large windows in an old building. Our room was mostly clean, quite a bit of dust on picture frames and mirror. Shower was full of lime scale so only half the shower worked. Staff were great, especially the young man in the bar . Breakfast was ok, nice selection, nothing too special but the sausage and bacon were if nice quality. Overall would definitely stay here again. Just a few points need looking at.
