About Malmaison Cheltenham
Malmaison Cheltenham suits couples after a stylish weekend away, visitors in town for the racing, or anyone wanting a central base within reach of Cheltenham's Regency parks and the Pittville Pump Room. It occupies a spot near the Town Hall, putting the town's spa-era architecture and green spaces within easy walking distance.
The 61 rooms come with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and drinks laid on, and there are accessible rooms for those who need them. Guests can expect the rooms to be well kept and comfortable, and the on-site restaurant and bar turn out food that stretches to a proper breakfast and a vegan afternoon tea, with kids' meals and packed lunches available too. Staff are generally friendly and willing to help, though standards of service have occasionally slipped by some accounts.
There's a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days, a lift serving the hotel's four floors, and meeting rooms for anyone combining the stay with business. Chargeable on-site parking takes the hassle out of arriving by car, pets are welcome, and a pub, restaurants and a golf course are all within reach nearby.

What guests say
Honestly, a disappointing stay for what should be a luxury hotel. We only booked for one night and to be honest we are glad we didn’t stay any longer. The air conditioning vents in our room were FULL of dust, also meaning they didn’t work very well, so the room was constantly boiling hot. Equally, the shower /bath did not have a consistent flower of water, so halfway through a shower the water would just drop out. The staff seemed the lack a flair for customer service. Disappointed for the price we paid

They couldn't do enough. Stayed 2 nights all excellent. We had a special birthday party at the hotel for 18 and they were brilliant both Alex the manager and Tess, Amy and David, all our guests were buzzing on the night and couldn't stop talking about how good it was the next day, v well done all and a big thanks.

Absolutely shocking behaviour, simply phoned the hotel direct and asked if we could pay them directly on arrival. Was told it would be £170, I said its around £120 online and the hotel pay agents a booking fee on that so why so much more at there hotel, the receptionist put the phone down on me!! Wasn't friendly even to begin with, needless to say, we obviously won't be ever staying at this place in the future, would fully recommend you avoid this hotel😲

Travelled for a funeral/wake for a dear old friend who sadly passed away at the age of 100. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism from staff. Gossiping amongst themselves and using profanity within earshot of guests/children in attendance. During the catering part of the service, the staff blocked the walkways and corridors which made it inconvenient for those who have mobility difficulties. Another thing is that the plates of food which got laid out for the wake, were only presented on the table for a measly 20mins before a member of staff barged into the room to clear everything away. As many of us politely took turns so that others could got ahead to take their pick first, it meant that even though there was sufficient food still on the platters, many of the guests myself included missed out on food. Presumably the food then got chucked, which would have been eaten if the staff weren't in such a hurry to get the wake over and down with. We felt very rushed and frankly quite dumbfounded. We did not directly complain to any staff as we felt this would be distasteful and not appropriate to complain at a funeral. We went also disappointed at not being able to sit in the conservatory area due to insufficient weatherproofing... i.e Flooding due to a bit of rain..
