Barrington Cottage is a semi-detached property in a quiet hamlet between Petworth and the South Downs. The building sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close enough to the market town for dinner or shopping, far enough back to feel genuinely rural. You get the whole place to yourself: three bedrooms across the first floor, two bathrooms, and downstairs a living room with access to the garden, plus separate dining room and kitchen.
The bedrooms sleep five in total—a double, two singles, and a single with a pull-out bed. Bathroom facilities include a bath with shower. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering: electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, and washing machine. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. A patio and garden furniture sit outside, and there is parking for two cars on site. No smoking throughout.
Petworth itself, about a mile away, has restaurants, cafes, antique shops and Petworth House; the region is known for walking and cycling routes, and the National Trust gardens at West Dean and Parham House are within reach. The 17th-century inn in nearby Byworth has its own terraced gardens and is a short walk away.
